Some quiet (if you can call it that with the humm of the router routing) time waiting on the router to finish cutting out part of an inlay. I wanted to glue it together before I left. (I did – we’ll see how it turns out tomorrow.)

Today was Day 3 in the line of Rather Bad Days. But we trudge on forth and I’ve made it through with just a headache, which I think is reasonable.

For the wardrobe groups: My white button-down is a hand-me-down that’s… from the Disney Store and is a boy’s size. The jeans are the painted jeans we know and love (that may finally be reaching their breaking point). And of course, the ever-awesome graffiti chuck all-stars.

For more – I blogged about it

Catwalk floor surface

Designed for a multimedia design firm, this blackened steel catwalk connects a mezzanine to a conference room. The catwalk includes cast glass lenses imbedded in the floor reminiscent of the cast iron sidewalk grates popular in lower Manhattan at the turn of the century. The laser cut components were detailed in solidworks to fit together like a kit-of-parts that was assembled and installed over a weekend.
The floor surface is blackened with a lacquer finish to provide additional protection against wear. Each lens is surrounded by (4) mate rivets that clamp the top and bottom bent steel panels together.
